Business Management

As a self-employed Artisan Carpenter, I design and
create unique wooden accessories for tabletop board
games, including dice trays, card holders, and much
more. I utilize woodworking tools and machinery to cut, shape, and finish wood pieces. I develop new product ideas and prototypes, and I also manage a booth at various craft fairs, showcasing and selling my products directly to customers, providing product information, personalized recommendations, and excellent customer service.

Implementation

To produce the desired product, I have developed proficiency in various art forms, including layout design, typography, illustration, basic carpentry, 3D modeling, and even CNC machining.

Product Design

Each project starts as a need. As an avid gamer It is easy to identify a need, then produce a product to meet the need. This started as a simple box to hold dice in, and evolved to towers and treys to role the dice into, even jails to seperate underperforming dice.

Goal

Though “Dick’s Hardwoods” only serves as a side hobby, profit is not the primary goal. I truly enjoy designing and creating my product. If I could give my creations away for free, i would. Watching people get excited about my product is reward enough.
